Wolves need to drop Daniel Podence and play Fabio Silva

Wolves have endured a difficult start to the season, winning just one of their opening six Premier League games. As a result, there have been calls for Bruno Lage to make changes to his team, with Daniel Podence one of the players under pressure.

The Portuguese winger has started all six of Wolves’ league games this season, but he has failed to make a significant impact. In fact, he has had fewer touches than goalkeeper Jose Sa in two of those games.

Fabio Silva is a better option for Wolves

Fabio Silva is a more natural goalscorer than Podence, and he has a better goalscoring record at Wolves. In 50 appearances for the club, he has scored 14 goals. Podence, on the other hand, has scored just six goals in 77 appearances.

Silva is also a more physical player than Podence, which would give Wolves a greater presence in attack. He is also good at holding up the ball and bringing other players into play.

Lage should therefore drop Podence and play Silva in his place. This would give Wolves a better chance of scoring goals and winning games.
